About

Thank you for your interest in me. I was born in 1968 in Denver, Colorado to a family with a deep interest in art. This interest was enhanced and nurtured by my Grandparents, on my Father's side, who took me on art buying adventures all throughout the Great American Southwest. We visited Indian Reservations, galleries, and met with artists of all mediums. They instilled a great love of art within me.  However, my eye and interest has always been with photography. I have collected works from various photographers with favorites being E.S. Curtis and Ansel Adams. I have had a camera in my hand since I was a small boy but only began to pursue it professionally in 2008.

I own Canyon Print Frame Design, a fine art printing and frame studio in Montrose Colorado. I enjoy the technical aspect of printing, and opened the studio after failing to find a printer who could print to my specifications. I print for many professional and "home" photographers who enjoy working closely with us to ensure the highest quality in their work.

I have a deep appreciation for our public lands, and wildlife. I strive to illustrate the grandeur and beauty in our lands in hope that we can preserve and protect it. I enjoy photographing wildlife, especially wolves. I love to learn about animals habits, personalities and behaviors. I enjoy spending days or weeks in the field observing and tracking animals. I find peace and solitude in my excursions. My family also enjoys planning photography vacations. My wife, Amy, loves to explore and scout for new locations. Our three beautiful girls often work along side of me, camera in hand,  if they are not out scouting with  Amy.

I enjoy forming creative partnerships with National and State Parks, conservation groups and wildlife researchers. Photography is a gift and tool that can be used to educate, enlighten and pursue change.

I offer one on one and group classes for all ages and skill sets and greatly enjoy sharing my knowledge with others.

Please contact me if you are interested in a commissioned project, one on one or group class.
